Human-made greenhouse gases have brought the Earth's climate close to critical tipping points, with potentially dangerous consequences for the planet. The warming of 0.6ºC in the past 30 years has been driven mainly by greenhouse gases, and only moderate additional climate forcing is likely to set in motion disintegration of the West Antarctic ice sheet and Arctic sea ice. 

So who are the fearmongers again?

The official made 181 changes in three climate reports to emphasize uncertainties surrounding the science of climate change and undermine widespread conclusions that man-made emissions are warming earth. Shortly thereafter, the official, a former oil-industry lobbyist, left the White House to work at Exxon Mobil Corp.

A DeSmog detractor has created two new webpages which are the most flattering and fallacious of anything I've seen in ages.

First, our intrepid critic has created a list of "Climate Fascists" in which he included my name with the likes of Al Gore, Arnie Schwarzenegger, Jim Hansen, James Lovelock, Michael Mann, Nicholas Stern and Tim Flannery. (I'm so proud, I have taken a screenshot to show my kids.)

NASA scientist James Hanson, one of the earliest climate specialists to sound alarms about global warming in 1988, has called for an end to building new coal-fired electric power plants because of their massive role in spewing out the greenhouse gases that drive climate change.
